I think it’s just impossible to have ASIO working on most onboard soundcards, I would still have this issue today if I didn’t find it. I fixed a similar possibly the same issue by disabling all system sounds syjth the “change system sounds” settings dialogue – which is a good idea for anyone doing music production on their computer.
